Those things we have heard of, that were not 'major ' releases...in other words...stuff like this. I have seen [too]many of these and the hopefullness I held as a child/teenager has departed. I am sure you have seen many films that may have been categorized as schlock...and in that mix are a few charmers. This is not one of those...I agree with you. BTW...I may have, way back when, seen almost every movie listed in Wikipedia's "List of science fiction films of the 1950s".
